Henry Nicholas
{Brand New. Photo from Annie Groves photography}
Born May 23rd
11:32 p.m.
8 lb. 2 oz.
It shouldn't have taken me so long to post that Henry was born, but I guess I didn't exactly have a "typical" labor. I don't know. I'm no labor expert. All I know is that it was LONG and REALLY hard. It took a couple of days to recover from that and we are still getting used to each other, parenting, and the joys of waiting for milk to come in.
Anyway, I am hoping that as we adjust I will be able to write some posts about everything that happened and how we are currently doing.
Congratssss!!!!!! He is so gorgeous! I was just sitting here wondering about you and I checked your blog - nothing - then refreshed and hello Henry!! what a great name!! Hope you're feeling as well as can be expected!!!!!

ReplyDeleteYay yay yay!!! Absolutely beautiful!!! Hope all is well with your recovery! And if you need someone to commiserate with on the joys of sore nipples and engorgement, I am here for ya! ;)
ReplyDeleteGet some rest and enjoy that beautiful little boy of yours!!
Congrats!!!! Soo glad he is here!!! He is perfect!! Hope you are feeling alright!!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh, he's perfect. So sweet.
ReplyDeleteI know the last thing a new mom wants is advice, but after having two kids that were pretty much forced formula from the get-go in the hospital by staff, they never really nursed good and gave it up all together by 3 months. I refused formula for number three. And guess what, your body does what it's supposed to. Amazing how that works. Baby's little tummy is SO tiny for the first week. They only need a few drops. He's getting what he needs from you mama, even if it doesn't seem like it.
Good luck, I hope the stress levels aren't unbearable. They'll even out, I promise. First month is the hardest, but when you look back, those snuggle times with a newborn are priceless.
Congratulations! He's beautiful. I hope all three (all five? We can't forget Cotton and Taylor!) of you are doing well, healing up and adjusting to having this little guy around.
