Pancake Fractions

Since Phil has been practically living in the lab, I went to breakfast with my parents and Jeffrey Sunday morning.  I decided it was a good time to try and teach Jeffrey fractions using my pancakes.  Afterall, who better to teach him that his engineer aunt/sister.

We started with halves, then moved to quarters and then eighths.  We identified the numerator and the denominator.  Then we worked on adding fractions.  He totally nailed it.

Then we worked on subtracting them while I ate pancake pieces.  He nailed subtraction too.

Way to go, Jeffrey!!
